The dengue antibody IgG/IgM kit is used for the rapid detection of immunoglobulin G and immunoglobulin M in all types of dengue viruses, utilizing human blood serum/plasma. The test device contains three pre-coated lines: “G” for IgG, “M” for IgM, and “C” for control lines. A dengue-specific antigen complexed with a gold conjugate is placed in the conjugate pad with anti-human IgG and IgM fixed on the membrane. When the specimen is added to the sample well, the dengue antigen reacts with the antibodies and forms complexes. Anti-human antibodies capture these complexes to make a line. For control, the membrane at last contains goat anti-mouse IgG.
The dengue antibody NS1 test is used for the rapid detection of dengue antigen NS1 in human blood serum/plasma. NS1 is a glycoprotein found in dengue-infected persons during the early days of infection. The card contains a membrane pre-coated with an anti-dengue NS1 monoclonal antibody in the test region and goat anti-mouse IgG in the control region. As the specimen flows, if it contains dengue NS1 antigens, it will form a complex called an antibody-antigen-gold conjugate, which moves laterally on the membrane. This will create a distinct line on the card in addition to a control line.
