Dasatinib is a versatile anti-cancer medication to treat multiple types of cancer, such as liver cancer, kidney cancer, pancreatic cancer, thyroid cancer, stromal cancer, breast cancer, and many more. It is mainly used for patients who were unaffected by or intolerant to other drugs such as Imatinib. It works by blocking the protein activity essential for cancer growth. As it arrests the protein activity and disrupts the cell cycle, the cancer cell dies gradually.

Side Effects

Side effects associated with Dasatinib are nausea, vomiting, muscle cramps, diarrhea, swelling, lower blood cell count, and fatigue. There are also some severe consequences, such as gastrointestinal bleeding, heart problems, and elevated blood pressure. Medical care and routine monitoring are required.
